While I'm not sure why, I find the "new" color strips to be much fuzzier and harder to read. Would it be possible to get a higher contrast version, perhaps without bringing back b&w images?

OK, forget my previous comment. I had the courage to visit the main page again, and it appears it's now completely free of Flash! This explains why bradpurvis is so happy with the 'flash' layout! :D Thanks, Scott! I personally prefer the comics in B&W above the oversaturated colors, but the weekday comics are now even larger than their deceased black-and-white counterparts and the Sunday comics almost as large, so that makes up for it. Also, the site is still slow as hell (runs on the same hardware as comics.com?) but as long as the main page loads within reasonable time limits, you won't hear me complain.

Well, it had to happen some day: http://www.unitedmedia.com/comics/dilbert/archive/dilbert-YYYYMMDD.html has disappeared, and the Dilbert page on Yahoo! also stops at yesterday's comic. This is probably a consequence of comics.com being converted to yet another slow and bloated Flash atrocity (hey guys, you might have wanted to upgrade your servers too to handle the load). It seems like the only option to avoid the bloat of Flash is the 'fast' page (which, ironically, is still slow), and use a magnifying glass for the Sunday comics. Unless someone knows an alternative site with the comics in a non-headache-inducing resolution.

I'm new to the site, so I have no axe to grind. I went to the site today (Sunday) and the Flash app only displayed the first three panels of today's strip. I tried clicking on it and I could see the whole thing on another page for about 1 second and then the Flash came back with the first 3 panels. The only way that I was able to read the entire strip was to go to the fast site. In my humble opinion, simple is always better.

I absolutely hate the new site. It's slow, confusing to navigate, and the "Dilbert Mission Statement Generator" is gone too. Why would anyone think that these types of changes are necessary? I'm certain that most people who don't like the new site would just get off and not make any comment at all. I use the "http://www.dilbert.com/fast link" address now to read the daily strip. There's nothing on the new site that interests me at all.

I've been away for some months. I came back to... this! On the one hand, I don't mind the look. What I don't like is the fact it's more difficult to use. I liked the calendar for selecting strips I may have missed. That's gone. I don't care about the mashers. I'm not a cartoonist. And... I can't find the archive for the newsletter!!! This is progress?

The flash based gadget only shows me the first three frames of Sunday comics. This is in both IE7 and FF3(rc1). How does one get it to expand them to read the whole thing?

Geez, could someone remove Dan Boaz's May 11, 2008 post?? Maybe it's just me, but I thought this was for Dilbert comments, not hoaxes, scams, or whiny stories that have nothing to do with Dilbert or the site.

THANK YOU, Planktonboy. www.dilbert.com/fast is great except for the Sunday comics, which my failing eyes can barely make out (too much staring at computer screens). Now I've bookmarked http://www.unitedmedia.com/comics/dilbert/archive/dilbert-20080511.html and can again enjoy the Sunday Dilbert without the obligatory magnifying glass. Too bad it only goes back a month. BTW, Scott Adams, I love your strips and I DO like the colorful comics. And the changes you've made to the Beta site have helped some. I still have no desire to waste my time thinking up endings to your strips when you do such a fine job for me. Thumbs up for Planktonboy's idea of an oldskool version. Ack! Is anyone else having difficulty unsubscribing from the daily emails? When I click unsubscribe I am taken to a page with 5 check boxes for different types of emails and three radio buttons for different choices. I check all the boxes and choose the radio button labeled "I'm flying to an island, don't send me any more emails." I was hoping this would turn off the daily email for each item I selected but I am still receiving them. I've never seen an unsubscribe this counter-intuitive before. Do I check or not check? Where's my confirmation? I'm upset. A mailing list that I can not easily unsubscribe from is annoying. A mailing list that I can not unsubscribe from at all is spam. The comic I looked forward to reading in my email each day has become spam, loaded into my box on a daily basis. Hopefully the sender will not change in an attempt to evade my automatic Dilbert.com mailing deletion measures.

I am glad, I've finally found the "linux" (fast = old = good ;) ) version of the dilbert site (although I am using windows at work). Maybe there is a way to get back the old Daily Dilbert Strip emails as well? After many years (10?), I've cancelled my subscription today, because most of the time, none of the pics are showing :-( I am really sad about this! Thommy

THE BLOGBERT EXPERT... NOT! I'd like to belong to the first group. I aspire to be like the second. I'm closest to the third, but because I am terminally unique I'm really in the fourth. The forth is difficult to define but if we don't show up on the new blog it has everything to do with being confounded by cyberspace.
