Just seeing if I can see this post. Yesterday's post is apparently viewable by a few people, but not by me. And based on the few comments, not by most people I think.

Okay, now look BELOW this entry to find the post I did AFTER this entry. Apparently the blog software has gone totally random.

I typed in a post and used the word !$%*! a lot of times. That is "M I L E S'. Why did this word get turn into gibberish?

> What do those two efforts have in common? Answer: no profit

What?!

There's been immense profit, both direct and indirect. All due to government investment that private industry wouldn't put up, because it was too much/or and the payback time was too great.

Additionally, here's what else the government can do in the situations we're discussing: Get the heck out of the way of the free market. If we'd stop propping up big oil, big agro, etc., advances an alt fuels would have been legion by now.

I don't know about the blog, but it took me half a day to get signed up.
I'm sure I must have been here before, but had no reason to sign up, and then suddenly I wanted to comment, and found I had to register first. Ick.

I never visit your site (almost never), sorry. But about every other year I do actually remember to buy myself a Dilbert day at a time calendar (and the other years, I forget to go to the mall)
I found your series in reruns on some channel or other and figured out why I lost track of it the first time: it was on UPN. I recorded it this time, but I don't know if I ever watched all of it.
Nothing beats the regular columns, apparently. (or regular calendars, whichever)

I actually came here - I knew that you *did* have a blog and came looking for *it* - after the ABC thing. Last I heard from my brother, you'd been doing better (it was quite a while ago). Apparently not better enough.
Hope you get good results from the surgery.
(And really, I do like Dilbert (though I'm not so fond of his dog) and that's a pretty big compliment, as usually I don't like either cartoons or animation. But I can totally relate to Dilbert. (the other cartoon I liked was Ziggy. see a pattern? me too))

Be well, and hopefully your Dysblogia will fix itself too.

hey, I second that 'piece of crap blog software' comment.

I do so VERY enjoy having to log in to leave my useless commentary on this historically-significant "meaning of life, the universe, and everything" blog.

so there.

Yeah your blog software sucks.
And actually so does your strip archive (even though I get to go further back in this version.
But please tell me you knew that already...

Dear Scott,

Yes, your blog is a piece-of-crap-software-and-I-Olga-just-confirm-this.

I tried to register on your blog and gave up. Ironically, putting an your feed -that things called RSS- on my blog was a piece of cake. The S = simple exists for no false reason. Brazilians invited the bikini wax. Americans implemented Simple. SO, I thought. And No. I didnt mean The Reality Show or Dr Phil.

I mean You - the American Icon of simplicity. You still are. But sorry, I must degrade you. Before, this screw up, I thought you were the WORLD Icon of Simplicity. But, Now, based on your stupid choices ( Blogging software) I am compelled to restrict your influence to your Key West.

Anyway, its working now..

Cheers

Woah....are you psychic? While writing this entry, how on earth did you know that one after this was going to be below it? Imagine someone making the same claim in snail-mail. Spooky (or is it the work of the Flying Spaghetti Monster).

Is there someway you could fire your blogging software and incorporate Blogger into your website?

All I know is your blog takes forever to download onto my system because of all the extra things that load on the right hand side of my screen. I'm running windows XP, IE 7....no problem reading any of your blog entries after all the extraneous stuff loads.

As others have commented, your crappy blog software RSS feed worked just fine and so I watched you last evening on the Medical Mystery tv show. I was wondering how long ago you recorded it since these days you say that you can only whisper after having had your surgery. It never dawned on me up to know that both Dilbert and Wally are drawn without mouths. Should your voice become 100% cured (and hopefully soon), perhaps you may wish to consider drawing a celebratory strip showing them both with mouths - sort of an inside signal to your readership legions, announcing your successful recovery. Good luck to you, dude.

Is seemingly normal. Perhaps your software has contracted your conditon? Something like Spasmodic Blogopia?

Spasmodic Dysphonia: I also have spasmodic dyshonia it took 17 doctors and about three years of Botox befor I tried acupuncture and EEG with neuro-feedback. I can now be heard and control my spasams. I was able to do the LA marathon last year this was my first time. I also went to Dr. Berke, he dianosed me. He is a great doctor. I live in Riverside. I would love to tell you more about my treatments. I have not had Botox in over a year. I still see my neurologist at Loma Linda every three months. He said he had never seen a paitent who had improve as much. He generlly only see results with Botox or DBS. I was a the point of trying DBS, but with so much fear. Good luck and best whishes. Spasmodic Dysphonia never goes away but it can be much easier to live with. Bye for now. Carol

Everything works fine in RSS, the reason your posts were in seemingly random order was that according to my RSS feed they were both posted Wed, Aug 20 2008 4:00 AM

I'm going direct to your blog from IE. I see all three posts. I did NOT see the first post until today, though - but can't confirm that I just didn't check your blog yesterday before you had posted it.

I've seen this type of problem before. I'm pretty sure it's called 'the software is fine, the problem is whatever you did'.

fyi I can see all your blog entries in the rss feed, but "I'm a medical mystery" isn't showing up on the web page.
