I'm trying to come up with a catch phrase for a Catbert t-shirt. Here are some rough sketches. Which one do you like best?

I like one that someone else mentioned. "Purr evil!" To me that says it all. I also liked "evil by design". Sorry Scott, your list felt a little too forced. A simple, "you're fired" works too.

They're all good, but two are just below the water line: "Cute, yet evil" and "Evilicious", and one snaps like a bull whip: "Evil by design" (my favorite). "Your efforts and your rewards are no longer related" has been a known truism since well before the Book of Job documented in grim and gory detail the still-unresolved problem of theodicy.

I don't hate the new site, but don't love it either . . . sort of like a new job.

My suggestions:

HR - We're here to help

Abandon hope all ye who enter here

I used to be in HR and kept a Catbert standee on my filing cabinet. That way, people couldn't say they weren't warned . . .

c'mon Scott, speed of the new blog sucks, functionality is way behind your previous blog, and i miss your daily free ramble. Did they catch you with money or what?
Alright, you made your point, you're Catbert and 99.9% evil in molesting us round in this virtual world. I'll even buy a t-shirt from you to get you back to typepad...

Definitely "evilicious". Purely for selfish reasons, though. I've got a friend, evelyn, who becomes "evilicious" when she's tipsy.

Your Efforts and your Rewards are no longer related - It is more related to HR.

I vote for "Evil by Design"

And scott, now that you're into newer web technologies, take a look at

http://www.ohnorobot.com

(type dilbert for a test!)

Imagine how cool that would be for dilbert.com! You'd sail in the Google-inspired waters!

Btw I like the color in your strips! Keep on! However I don't like to have to scroll to read them. Please keep site readable for us without Flash plugins.

The mashups and anims not loading thing seems to be an Internet Explorer (7) thing - just tried in Firefox and it works there.

Also the trouble with flash sites is there's no right click - so you can't open in a new tab or window - which means you have to spend twice as long pressing the back button and waiting for the page to reload, and when it's already slow to load that's half your life down the drain. Perfect for Wally, not so good for the rest of us.

I appreciate that there is now a fast site for the comics, but you should also have one for the blog. It takes far too long to load, has too many bells and whistles, and in my opinion loses the cleanliness and simplicity that original had. Please make a fast version of the blog.

My favourite is 'it only looks like a coincidence' but the last one isn't bad either. I wouldn't be interested in any of the others, and i'm not sure catbert is cute!!

Actually, the non-loading anims don't load while you wait for the page to finish loading, and they finally load when you click on another link - which means they're impossible to watch, at least for me.

Mashups still not loading.
Some animations not loading.

Some ideas. And one edit.

Your rewards and your efforts were never related.

Come to the dark side. We have catnip.

Why do good things happen to bad people?

I like the first one, but I prefer 99% evil.
