ISO is still a major player in business's that create or handle medical products in the USA, or any product for that matter. It also a huge global tool for management. Possible one of the most widely used today.

Dilbert is right about what it is. What's missing here is that ISO 9000 was a huge fad in the '90s. Not sure if it's still in use, I haven't heard anyone mention it in years.
