Kevin, several lengthy multiple posts for one strip ...
Randy called Dilbert illogical for preferring to use logic. That makes Randy an idiot, whether or not that hurts his precious feelings or he truly is a recognized personality type of one sort or another.

@Pieman42: indeed, the society need the idiots to succeed (not necessarily because of what Kevin has said).

Frankly, Kevin, aren't you being irrational and illogical yourself? not only were tfulmer1 and airmikee right about what you said, but having reread your comment, I'm pretty sure you also said that not only should the idiots be accepted in exactly the same situations as intelligent people, but you also said that idiots are necessary for society to succeed.

Ok, usually I just roll my eyes at some of the comments and move on, but I have to respond....

"Laughing at rather illogical people trying to make high-tension decisions is no better than laughing at a competent engineer for being socially awkward"

Isn't laughing at a competent engineer for being socially awkward what Dilbert is all about?

@ airmikee - at least read the post I made to tfulmer. If you're going to argue against something I haven't said then I can't really reply to it.

I'm going to go with the sentiments of my favourite philosopher F Schiller here (a great pragmatist) when I say that if you insist on just reading the most idiotic and overblown meanings into anything I say and then attack it - then really I must accept that as a strange way of accepting defeat. If, in order to have an argument, you have to resort to disagreeing with things I haven't said, and indeed saying things that I actually agree with, then I don't need to make any further statements to be fully correct and unchallenged.
