Of course there's a logical explanation. Scott couldn't be bothered. It's a comic strip, not art class. He's Scott Adams, a comic genius with pertinent observations of being an engineer in an office environment. He's not Leonardo da Vinci.And the scenario he "paints" above is eerily accurate, even if he doesn't paint it as well as all the art critics in the comments.

Yes it is yellow. But maybe we don't see the doorway because they moved on...there must be some logical explanation.
