I've only registered to add my voice to the large number of people who would like to see this web site improve. Sorry, but this one is just terrible because of the large amount of stuff on it. Yes, I know about the other web pages, which I will now use, but it doesn't change the fact that this is now broken.

Have a look at http://www.websiteoptimization.com/services/analyze/ and run the Dilbert homepage URL through it.

On my 8Mbps ADSL (effective 2Mbps, but lets not worry about that), any Dilbert page now takes between 25 and 35 seconds. Not good at all. No more ad revenue from me, I'm afraid.

Just to be clear, its nothing to do with Linux/Unix and the implication that Windows is "just fine" is wrong.

The new site works just as badly on my office dual-processor XP box as it does on my home single-processor Linux box. Indeed, from XP, if I try to look at the site over my company VPN when working from home, it entirely locks up my session for several minutes - and in this situation the entire load is running on my office PC.

It is FLASH thats the problem, not the OS. Flash is supported on Linux, it just sucks exactly as much. A combination of flash-enabled adverts plus totally unnecessary flash in the comics is just killing the site.

Thanks for the non-flash version tho. At least I can bookmark that and ignore the rubbish you've allowed your developers to pollute the rest of the site with,.

Thank you thank you thank you!!! My head was wrecked - "just gimme my old Dilbert website back" I kept saying, "if its not broken, dont fix it"!! "I just wanna copy and paste" - then you suggested the LINUX/UNIX tab on the bottom of the screen - its so easy its embarrassing!! Thanks!! - my 10yr old daily Dilbert crew were threatening mutiny if I didnt sort it!! Life is good again :oD

Hey In-duh-viduals. Before you start !$%*!$%* and moaning about wanting the old site back - try reading some of the comments - always a good tip.

Those who don't like change and want a 'bare bones' site please either click on the LINUX/UNIX link at the bottom of the page or point your browser to:
http://dilbert.com/fast/

That way, perhaps we can have a day free of your bleating and whining - oops, too late!
