Hi, I just registered only so I can complain about the Catbert changes you have introduced.
Just how many negative comments does it take to make you put this website back the way it was?
This is really a truly NEGATIVE HORRIBLE experience now.
It is Tediously Difficult to navigate, Slow to load, not at all fun like the original site.
The previous version was much faster to load too.
We ALL propose you should abandon trying to "PIMP UP" this site up and go back to basics
Please strip out ALL that boring Flash Nonsense and KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid)
By the way the GIF generator you are using produces terrible quantisation noise in between the main lines, it looks like you are using MS Paint? Yeugh! Pittooie!

2Toaster: "However, I like that I can read daily Dilbert strips in color." - Reading in color is extremly entertaining indeed. You are even funnier than Scott Adams :)
p.s. new design is rubbish. not user-friendly at all. features are nice - comments, votes, mashups - but implementation isn't good at all.

the page is around 1.4 mb in size, it's heavy for nowdays internet standards. some flashes are havier then the own strip, in my opinion its weird. The page size isnt just a users problem, multiplying the number of visitors in a due time by the page size you can get the bandwith usage of the site. i'm sure that the dilbert user basis with this page size are giving a big bandwidth usage..
VPI is not famous for having lighttweiight sites anyway, i don't expect any changes soon...
The dilbert.com/fast is a solution, i just don't think that link it as linuxunix was wise...
in toaster case i'm sure hes using a very fast internet connection,as much of dilbert users do...
