Try FireFox plug-in FlashBlock. Stops Flash, but lets you click on one to run it. Works great.

Best thing to do these days is to have two browsers:

- Internet Explorer: Add flash, quicktime, Javascript, etc.. Use this browser when you need the plug-ins.
- FireFox: Use NO plug-ins, and hit the ESC key to stop animations. Then you can read sites in peace.

These spinning and whirling advertisements have transcended annoying and are simply rude. I don't mind being advertised to, but is it necessary to turn my screen into Times Square?

5incerely,

GREAT last panel. I wonder if that would work with kids.
