Hmm, isn't Dogbert right for most people? The time that most people (i.e., those who are not inventing cancer cures, free energy, television, etc.) have is immaterial and inconsequential in some larger sense, except that it only helps them perpetuate their own livelihoods and lives.

As usual, Scott has a way of saying ponderables...
