@ juliancho999: Oh, good strategy. If you can't in all good conscience defend your own people's shoddy reputation, just deflect the hate onto another oft-picked-on group. "Deflect the hate, my brothers, deflect the hate!" Make that your mantra. ;-)
I guess these people hate all Narc movies from the 80's and the movie Bedazzled where Brendan Frazier in one of his wishes plays a Colombian drug cartel leader. There are some idiots trashing the U.S. as the demanders of coke while similarly being offended as suppliers. I will answer the question about Americans using it by saying we do make fun of the coke users here just as much or more, but maybe if Colombia wasn't a backwards corrupt country where druglords and government officials rule over the people and any reformers "disappear" maybe they wouldn't be such easy fodder for comedy.
Sheez! We continually make fun of our own people month after monther, year after year and we all laugh and have a great time over it. One day it slips over into another nationality and the PC crowd comes crawling out of the woodwork all offended and insulted. I guess we can see where the real prejudice is. If you're that offended, don't read the strip. Nobody is forcing you to.
