I once worked at a small business (radio station) that solved this problem -- whenever sales exceeded projections, EVERYBODY got a bonus! The thinking was, it took the on-air staff, the administrative staff, AND the sales staff to make the station "attractive" enough to advertisers to be ABLE to get those sales. As the News/Sports Director (one-man gang), I know I sure appreciated that thinking!

Then i moved to "public radio"... where nobody got bonuses, EVER... (sigh)

A slight case of envy - I think we've all been there at one time or another.
