You guys read too much in this comic, meaning some of you have got some pretty strange issues going on amongst yourselves. In real life, after the initial shock, the fellow would accept the work and claim it as his own, because that's what a weasel does.
Been Dilbert...got fired...despite the fact that I didn't care whether the idea had my name on it or not, I just wanted it implemented because it could save the company lots of time and money and it was too simple to bother asking for credit. I don't know whether it got implemented, 'cus...well...I got fired. I didn't get fired for having the idea of course...a complaint comprising every little nitpick about my performance over the last several months, including many that weren't my fault, and several that were outright lies suddenly appeared on the branch manager's desk. Topper was smart enough not to say anything out loud in the third frame.
