The interesting twist with this story line is that Dilbert wasn't laid off because of the economy. He was fired for doing something stupid. Why isn't he looking for a new job? Maybe because of the economy or because word got out from him former employer. Who knows? He'll get hired back, he has to or it would be the end of the strip.

c'mon guys take a chill pill ... so what if it's close to home... so are For Better or For Worse, Luann, The Buckets, etc but ppl aren't complaining about them (usually...,) it's a comic strip. It's ment to be funny and this was ... Take a deeeeep breath, hold it for 700 seconds, and then release.

This is NOT funny! It is way too close to home. I look to Dilbert to give me a lift in the morning not slam my own problems in my face. Boooo!
