Mother knows worst. - I have a 100% dilmom living in our building. - And her son is indeed a engineer too... - She's one hell of a pushy, ignorant and completely clueless fatalist. - The point is she fits a lot better in this world.
Our world = culture / popular culture (Zeitgeist) undergoes let's call it some 'structural changes' (most likely into a 1984 police state). - Two generations sooner Dilbert would have found a half way acceptable mate and he would work under more pleasant !$%*!$%*!$%*!$ (And indeed not in such a useless company.)
Anyways he IS a hell of a idealist. - And this world was NEVER a good place for such people. See what they did to that guy they called Jesus... - So it was absolutely NEVER easy for a Dilbert to find a suitable mate. - Anyways the world keeps going under so it's getting harder by the minute.
Some time ago Ratbert sad everything about Dilbert. He's the only person in the whole dilbert universe (except for maybe the garbage-man) honest enaugh to say that Dilbert deserves better: YOU'RE A SUCCESFUL ENGINEER AND I'M A FAILED CEO. IT'S KIND OF FUNNY THAT I'M WORTH $100 MILLION AND YOU'RE NOT. IT'S FUNNY BECAUSE IT'S ALL REVERSE OF HOW IT SHOULD BE.
