Indeed. If comic strips offend you, don't read them. It's humor!! Get over it. I've read more than one comment from folks that get offended by these comic strips. Don't take life so serious.

If you can't joke about pirates and such I wonder what you usually joke about. I'm so tired of people taking offence for every little joke. That's what humour is all about; making life easier to live.

Dilbert is being pro-active warning his Mom - why would Dogbert be satisfied with pirating in Somalian waters when there's rich cuttings in the Straits of Moluccas, ample sundries in the Port of Los Angeles, and oil tankers aplenty @ the Port of Houston, not to mention fresh whale meat from Japanese factory ships off the shores of St Georgia. Pirate Dogbert would discover the world is his oyster, it's pearls overripe for plucking.
