You seem to think that Scott personally wrote the code for the voting feature, which I doubt.

All strips start out as four stars because, well because they are already good enough to be published in thousands of newspapers. From there readers of this site can push the score in one direction or the other.

I am sure you think highly of your own opinion, but please, do not think your one vote has that much sway. I would hope the code was written so that it did not even budge the score until at least 10-20 votes had been received.

This would allow a buffer and not let that lone "I don"t get it" reader to devastate the score before more clever minds had a chance to cast their vote.

itegem,
of course you submitted a bug-report to the technical staff before you went public with your conspiracy theory, right...?

I was wondering when Mordac would appear again.

We have a Mordac in our office. The printer has been acting up lately. It prints 1 page, then all of the fault lights go off like the nuke plant control room in "The China Syndrome".

An emergency call was placed to Mordac, who floated in on empty air and made a pronouncement: 'Just push the 'check' button. It will print then." Yep, it sure did....One page at a time. You have to push the button once FOR EACH DOCUMENT PAGE TO PRINT.

Mordac then glided gleefully back to his office in a cloud of evil mist and vapor: "BWAHHHHH...HAH...HAH...HAH!!!!!"

He was last seen hanging upside down from the suspended ceiling.....
