Wally is almost every worker I have ever worked with - I just wish I had read this strip sooner so I knew what they were doing!

in the first panel he's making a little hand motion, which is why the thumb and hand looks slightly distorted since the lines are very close to his hand. what i don't get is why he is holding his coffee cup while he begs... :D

What's with the disfiguration of Wally's left hand/thumb in the first pane or is he holding on to something?
To be frank, I have always been practicing what Wally is preaching here only difference being that I keep that behaviour reserved for bosses or the management types. I will answer most of their requests positively and then there will be an if/but rider to negate the positivity and drive them away. [:P]
