@dennisgorelik: Of course Hans was not mathematically gifted at all, but was receiving subliminal (albeit subconscious) instructions from his master. Eddie is most likely receiving liminal (and conscious) instructions from Dogbert, but pretending he isn't. In this way, I think you could very well be right! Just goes to show that a dog is smarter than a horse, in Dilbert's universe at least.
