This strip sustains itself with a wise observation: Bureaucracies proceed on the assumption that "The Future Is More Of The Past". For the most part, this is dreadfully accurate. Big Business, Politicians, and Nietzche"s "Herd", all acting out of short-term self-interest, assure that it is indeed "Ground Hog Day"!
