@alceste: I prefer lossless rips of CDs, but I play them through a wonderful 80's receiver with 70's loudspeakers. There's something about audio quality that just hasn't quite been the same since the analog days; or maybe it's just my ears preferring what I grew up with.
Its the same thing that news organizations do these days. They take the talking points of political parties and businesses and regurgitate them as news. There is very little investigative reporting. Yeah, newspapers are losing their ability to distribute things, the entire world is. The money is moving out of distribution and into production. Newspapers need to stop regurgitating crap and start investigating and writing news. Everyone in a distribution business needs to diversify immediately as distribution costs are falling to zero, so is the distributors cut.
