No, Dexter, once again you completely misinterpreted the strip. Not the first time.

Wow! Is it just me or am I seeing Dilbert metamorphosing into an evil manager (aka PHB-esque)?
And if any of the executives at the meeing is worth his/her weight in salt, he/she would ask PHB - "By when can you submit a detailed evaluation report highlighting the CBA on this?" PHB would be in a soup then and so would be Dilbert.

@Prabu: Actually, I totally meant that seriously! I think centuries of experience show that if the leader doesn´t live what he preaches, neither will his followers - and in this century, neither will his employees...This comic shows what happens when someone would preach the walk, but not walk it. But let´s be realistic: no employee in real life would be that honest and openly cynical to his boss (unless he/she just quit). Too bad - some people would need an honest critique so badly....

We had ISO 17025 Accreditation and we worked hard to maintain it. However our boss couldn't be bothered with his responsibilities under the quality system so all the work was done by myself and a dedicated technician. After the first year of his lack of involvement I finally told him I wasn't going to lie for him anymore. The accreditation lapsed and when we were asked by our peers what happened we quietly told them we had no support from management. The boss maintained that he decided to give it up because it was too expensive. Now, after three years without it, he wants us to get it back. I love this strip.
