No, you're definitely right--and it's not very funny, since homeland security doesn't profile -enough- it seems. They're far from being too harsh. Nov. 13 was the last really funny strip here.

I just can't seem to get it! Please, can anyone enlighten me on the punchline?Is Ted now associated with terrorism, when he is wearing a beard? This seems
far out of anything we want to acknowledge, so I think its just a wild guess.
