My company recently told its employees (though we knew, everything is cloak and dagger around here, so you don't KNOW until you know) its wants to be paperless "ASAP". While this may sound like a lofty and great goal, the truth is its just another piece in their endgame to get every single job moved overseas. Its also a bit ridiculous because corporate legal keeps telling us to NOT throw away anything and that paperless will result in huge losses...but the bean counter at the top doesn't care. Someone who thinks saying "the farther along you are in a crisis, the closer you are to the end" is great wisdom shouldn't be making such important decisions.
When I started my company two years ago I began with the idea that it would have no faxes, no matter what. Sure if someone slips in a fax and gets it sent via eMail I cant tell the difference some times, but if the resolution sucks the resolution sucks and I refuse the document.
