Actually, PHB is righter than they allow, or are they just grinding his onions? We learned this lesson on a Star Trek episode, where Spock has command of the landing party and gets every redshirt in sight killed, because he is relying purely on process, and not on his gut.

PS -- re: cooties. Usage is all but obsolete as a common slang or dialect term for lice. Usage since the '60s or '70s has been almost exclusively a children's taunting game.

Old story featuring an elderly dialect speaker refers to "cooties" as "arithmetic bugs": "Because they add to my misery, subtract from my sleeping time, divide my attention, and multiply like the dickens!"
