OK, I thought it was just my smart phone that was way slow. The kicker is that it is not the wireless cell Internet, becaus Phone As Modem, when I can get it to work on Sprint without paying an extra $50/month, is pretty snappy. It is the lack of computing resources to support a browser to support web 2.0, because of the battery drain! The built in browser is always refusing to display tough pages, and uses a Sprint web site to run interference for it. Opera Mini and Bolt are better, but still lame. Does anyone get great web on their phone, no more glitches than on a PC?
