Point pounders, true enough! But on the flip-side, and as a father of two teens, repeating can be neccesary as their attention is everywhere else. When asked what I just told them after several repeats, they often demonstrate they just heard the parts they wanted to hear.

That happened to me many times... but the time I remember most fondly is when the point that was endlessly repeated in various forms was: "I am direct, straight to the point, I don't waste time, I don't like to repeat myself, etc...". Hours in a meeting that should have lasted half an hour at most because she kept trying to tell us that she really, really didn't like wasting time.
