If he actually manages to get ppl to buy stuff they don't need (and don't want intially) that would be the next cash cow (or first when it comes to Dilberts company ^^).btw: Global Supply Chain via Social Networking --> cutting on transport cost by handing the purchased product on and on via people who know each other so it finally gets to the person who purchased it ;)
Would work theoretically - unless you live in Elbonia :D

@Yoric I once had Wally's sensibility. And I held that job (not technical or government) close to 3 years before I quit. I did virtually nothing and slipped through the cracks. Somehow, no one in management every really questioned me. I surfed the internet most of the day.

Ah the eternal struggle for job security. It's a shame in a recession that you still get to see this exact behavior on a weekly basis.Cudos for the call out on Wally, but it will take handcuffs, cement, and a deep body of water to get the big W off his game.
