The cups handle is always drawn perpendicular to our line of sight, regardless of the strips perspective. Has he rotated it each time to ensure this feature? Maybe he knows someones drawing a picture of him as he speaks.
One of the oldest jokes in the world, usually told by some guy with so much senority it doesn't matter that he's a nincompoop. Never fails, it gets a hearty laugh out of me each and every time!
@Yoric: Nothing wrong with national socialism, as long as you leave the anti-semitic and rasist idiots out of it. Same goes for communism, capitalism, and all other ideologies. The problem is people that are so damaged by society that they equate an ideology to flawed attempts of implementation.
I've been reading your comic strips for just over a year now, but it's been only 10 months since I got my first job (that too, at an audit firm). These comics are absolute genius because, in most instances, I can relate to them. I have a colleague like this, who is a nice guy but yaps on about totally unfunny stuff. Since he's in a position of influence in the organization, I often force myself to laugh at "jokes" which even a penguin wouldn't understand! Kudos to you, Scott Adams!
