This explains why the entire office seems a little more "gray" when executives show up for a visit. I've always thought of them as clusters (like teenage girls at a party who have to go to the bathroom) but the image of clouds seems appropriate as well (especially given the fact that they are generally accompanied by storms). They move in tandem, never as individuals, as though each is concerned about being the lone gazelle on the prairie whose solitude makes him a perfect target for predators. The predators in this case would be lower level employees with valid questions about office policy...
