Actually I am not that much optimist. But there is a simple question here, for Boeing is it more profitable selling F-35s or 787s?
We see that Apple wants to sell as many iSomething as possible and people want those. For Apple to sell those stuff, there shouldn't be wars. The people must feel safe. (Although it may be an illusion)
Side effect of selling many iSomethings or their competitor devices means that people really get connected. LulzSec also showed that, as it was originally designed as ARPANet, you cannot control what is there and how it is accessed.
Reminds me of 2008 when the company said they needed to save cash (a million) so they had to give as a pay cut and take away other perks, by the end of the year they issued a letter saying we made a 10 million profit, along in the letter was a big thank you in capital bold letters to every employee, for their sacrifice.
