That's management wisdom.

Some guys think that opinion one has been chosen as best from the view of the "subordinate" (ref. to July27th), which means you may have chosen the most comfortable way, not the very best. It's just that they don't agree, but decide for their own. You have to follow them, not the opposite way. Some "don't call me, I call you staff".

Too often bosses think they're right, just because they're bosses. They too often lost the ability to seperate their opinion from real life facts.

They think they sit on the top of a mountain, having best sight in any direction, while you are crawling on the ground. But they are totally wrong. They may have farest sight, but do not see whats going on just in front of you (or them). If they would be clever enough to understand this (typically PHB isn't), they'd listen to their people more carefully, taking part in their knowledge instead of fighting it.
