Sometimes when I get back from rest room breaks, I have Post-It notes on my computer screen telling me to check my email. I thought that was bad. At least my boss doesn't follow me to the rest room.

@Aussieworker: Where did you get that assumption? That only applies to those who came up the ranks from the bottom. Today most managers are hired from the top.

I get auto responces from some people notifying that they read emails once or twice a day, like 9am and 4 pm. They also provide phone number for more urgent inquiries. Good idea?

@Yoric: I used to have a boss who would call my pager, and then when I called her, tell me that she sent me an email. I never got an email asking if I read my email, though. You win. :)
