My favorite peeve was when the Boss would decide he "wasn't in" for a particular phone caller, and order me to take the call. Then he'd stand behind me, listen to my half of the conversation, and say, "What did he say? Tell him this! Tell him that! What'd he say?" fully audible to the other party, while I was trying to carry on an intelligent conversation.
The "Imperious" thing is very cool. And watch how it's naturally accompanied with their hand up in the air like good Romans (or people belonging to another form of government that belongs to the 20th century).
Sad, but true. But please refrain from these type of jokes on Sundays? It's bad enough I have to face this type of behavior on working days :/
And unfortunately it goes both ways. When discussing stuff with direct superiors they abruptly discontinue the discussion them self as soon as someone up the hierarchy is entering the room, as they are surely more interesting (for their careers).
I usually continue my sentence and the rest I have to say in a mail, put my headphones on and continue coding or whatever I need to do. It gets hilarious when afterwards they want to know why I behave like that, pushing towards more and more discussions and interruptions, then wondering why schedules aren't being met. Oh the joy!
