Sad, but so true...... This is, IMPO, what PMI has done by creating a credential (PMP) based not on demonstrated competency, but on taking a 35 hour course studying sample questions, then taking a 200 question, multiple choice exam, of which only 175 actually count, with a passing grade of 106/175 or 62%.
Who in their right mind could possible accept that process standing as evidence of being a "professional anything"?
Would you get on the next commercial jet knowing the pilot had gotten his/her license having never demonstrated he/she could take off and land a plane successfully?
The whole thing is absurd and IMPO, those of us who are serious practitioners should put an end to what amounts to little more than a scam. False and misleading advertising.
