The CEO is brilliant,
Almost Wally like, he gets lots of visibility on the taskforces investigating the problem.
the Millennial employees see that the company is taking action to retain them. They get warm fuzzy thinking that the company actually cares. It doesn’t cost the company anything beyond having the workers scurry around and feel engaged.
Then they don’t actually have to do anything about it.
The CEO will love the peace and quiet in his building when no one is working there anymore. The PHB will be on an extended vacation with pay, of course....
Millennials may hate their jobs and want to quit because of poor communication and bureaucracy and will spend their time job surfing when they feel disengaged. But they usually won't actually quit until they get another job with better pay. So I'm guessing the real reason they are quitting is being underpaid. But PHB wouldn't know that because of the lack of communication.
