kaffekup, not just the corporate world. I worked mostly for non-profits, and it's there, too. Dishonesty seems to be the first principle of many organizations.

Dilbert - go out to the dumpster outside the building and get all the paper you can find and put it into lots of boxes. Stack these outside the PHB's office. Tell the HR department you need a month's medical leave because of job stress, and leave immediately. If anyone has any questions about what is on the papers, tell them to contact Wally....

Even though no-one's commented on it, the joke is really in the last frame: "To succeed in the corporate world, you have to do things you don't want to do. Why else would we pay you? Surely not to enjoy your work. Anyone can do that."
