He is just angry because he didn't get the bonus for being useless.
You do not inactivate people to work well by rewarding those who work well the same as those who do lousy works.
The CEO is not the one making the money. The workers are. Tie CEO bonuses to the long term profitability of the company instead of the short term profitability. Otherwise you will end up with a worthless company in 5 years. While the CEO has already left to con another company.
This strip reflected a few of my last years in a public broadcasting facility. For some reason there was never money to promote anyone (except those in the "group") and hire some do nothing manager who knew nothing about television and had to be trained usually by one of the unwashed masses.
Complaints went nowhere. I sacrificed all those years back to go to school to fix computers and do IT work and glad I did. Most of what I used to do job wise I haven't seen posted anywhere for the most part for years.
I did one step above complaining after so many years being lied to, not being able to move, or apparently able to leave (jammed on references). After my last review where I was told to drop dead despite how much I did and quals I had that others didn't in terms of a raise or upgrade, I found something that I could use as leverage. The next day I went up to the techno-PHB where I was in the process of getting the usual where I interrupted him and said "veteran" and "lawsuit" in the same sentence. I thought the guy was going to have a heart attack. I got promoted and also a lot of people in the same suffering grade got upgraded too. I know it killed techno-PHB inside. Good.
