Generally, if you meet the deadline, idiot bosses don't check your work. Or if they do, they think they are so smart for finding errors, they extend the deadline for you to fix them. Dilbert's problem (and mine) is that he cares about the quality of his work.

False dilemma, Dilbert. There is always more than enough work to do. If your boss can't prioritize, then pick the projects you are most interested in, and ignore the rest. You'll have so much fun, you might find yourself doing that even when the boss *does* give a clear priority...
