Kinda reminds me of the spoof Scott did at the Logitech management retreat in 1997 to come up with a new mission statement: http://articles.latimes.com/1997/nov/16/news/mn-54489

Our 'Rapid Response Team' was almost the 'Fast Action Response Team'. And we, for years, used a 'Problem Management System'. It eventually became the 'Problem Report Management System'.
And the US Navy really did call their 'Commander-in-Chief, United States Fleet' - CINCUS until the start of WWII.

Ah, the unfortunate acronym.

Especially funny how it is stubbornly adhered to even once it is pointed out, and you are discouraged and criticized for referring to the thing by its naughty name.

Good times at the cube farm.

We already have P.O.O.P. , Professional Object Oriented Programming.

How about S.L.U.T. System Logic Utility Translator.

I worked for a company where we tried to come up with funny Acronym Names for software we developed in-house. The company sold Bull Semen as it's main product so you can imagine what we came up with.
