Just curious -- Why the PHB and CEO instead of, say, Asok and PHB?
PHB, with his powerful if misplaced confidence in himself, doesn't seem likely to be seeking a mentor. And CEO, at least marginally more intelligent, must realize a middle manager -- especially this one -- is highly unlikely to be any kind of threat, even if he were capable of absorbing anything the CEO had to teach.
This could lead to the PHB picking Wally as a protege. Wally's commitment to anti-productivity guarantees he'll never move up.
