I find that to be good motivation, actually. It's motivation to accomplish something and get some joy in the hear & now before it's over. It's motivation to enjoy the incredibly valuable, unlikely gift of ever having existed at all.

@BritTim - that only depends on the other 'temporary arrangement of matter' that you choose. It may seem even more cold and uncaring, depending on the mutual arrangement.

your statement is not logical, to believe things just because they make you happy would be delusional. Logical in this context would mean something that is reasoned out in a logic method, how happy something makes you feel is not a suitable or logical method.

Motivation for what?
Life has no predetermined meaning or purpose.

If it had, freedom would not exist, as for all puposes we would just be an actor on a predetermined 4d game.

But since there is no purpose, you are free to give it whatever purpose you like.

If you lack motivation, is because you have not choosen your purpose. And instead let other people choose it for you.

Dogbert, believe it or not, is more optimistic than he once was. "Temporary arrangement of matter" sounds so much better than "organic pain collector."
