Is worse than that. This has being going on since the times of the cold war.
They allowed Great Britain to spy on the USA and share their information while the NSA spied on Great Britain and shared the information. found with them.

This was a loophole to avoid the gross illegalities associated with the invasion of privacy on both countries. After the Unconstitutional and unpatriotic act, the NSA figured that they no longer needed the loophole to spy on US soil.

Don't gloat. The NSA have been nicked for spying on Great Britain, Brazil, France, Germany and the whole freaking United Nations.
