@BritTim No, the person they blame first is the administrative assistant. Even when her job has nothing to do with what went wrong. Or when she saves the day but gets paid a few minutes overtime doing it.

Did anyone besides me choke a little over the term 'Core competencies'? Whatever happened to 'What we're good at'? Sometimes the baloney has become so insidious we forget it's baloney.

So, the best way to leverage our strengths is to identify a bunch of new things we should not be doing and automate them. (Makes sense: when things go wrong, blame the third party suppliers of our computer systems.)
